Hard Shell Chocolate Sauce for Ice-cream

Elevate the classic hard-shell chocolate sauce for ice-cream with the addition of Firetree's volcanic chocolate.

This chocolate sauce will please every age group and take you back to being a child yourself!

Makes: Enough sauce for 2-3 servings

 INGREDIENTS

  • 200g Firetree Chocolate, roughly chopped
  • 2 tablespoons coconut oil
  • Chopped nuts or mini marshmallows, to sprinkle (optional)

 METHOD

1 Melt the chocolate in a small heatproof bowl set over a pan of simmering water.

2 Stir in the coconut oil and heat until dissolved, about 1 minute. Cool and keep lukewarm, until ready to pour over the ice cream.

3 Spoon the sauce over your ice-cream of choice and sprinkle with chopped nuts or mini marshmallows, if you wish. The chocolate sauce will harden into a shell within a few seconds. Serve immediately.
