From The Solomon Islands
Known lovingly as The Solomons, this archipelago is pure paradise for nature lovers. Our cocoa comes from two of the islands - the largest island of Guadalcanal and the tiny island of Makira. Rich, volcanic soil, shade from coconut palms and a warm, humid climate make it the perfect location for growing cocoa. Our two main single-state farms here, one a husband, wife and sisters team and the other an all-female farm, are experienced in the growing of cocoa and the art of bean fermentation.
