Vanuatu, Malekula Island: The spiced cherry aroma leads to a flavour journey of rich red fruits, cocoa and subtle notes of buttery nuts alongside sticky, baked cherry.

Solomon Islands, Guadalcanal: baked chocolate brownie on the nose. The inherent sweetness of these prized beans hold taste notes of rich cocoa, sticky date, mellow black tea and red fruit.

Our Vanuatu farmers live in the cocoa-farming village in the heart of Malekula island. The amount of cocoa grown on the island doesn’t even register on the cocoa scale of production, which shows how rare it is.

Our main Guadalcanal farmer on Guadalcanal, Diana, grows her cocoa amongst durian and lemon trees along the north coast near Honiara. She has excellent relationships with her neighbouring farmers who step in when cocoa yields are smaller than expected.
