Much like the grapes in winemaking, the cocoa beans from each estate we partner have their own unique taste.
These delicate flavours are what make our chocolate so distinctive.

We make sure that we use the exact percentage of cocoa for each variation, depending on which estate the cocoa comes from: not too little and not too much. It means you can experience the subtle flavours and overtones of each individual variety of cocoa to the very full.

Our chocolate pairs perfectly with the delicate rose aroma and the crisp, subtle taste notes of strawberry, redcurrant and pomelo in Lanson's signature rose champagne.

On remote, volcanic islands, the cacao tree, with its flame-hued pods, is known affectionately as our 'firetree'. Here, in nutrient-rich soils, the complex taste notes and long, lingering finish of the cocoa are born.

Most of our single-estate cocoa beans are sourced directly from the farmer or through their preferred co-operative. The beans are carefully fermented and dried in the sun, then whole-roasted low and slow to release their natural flavours.
